OPERATIONS AND FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Matthieu RAJJOU
“Supporting the development of the school”
“After a year of preparatory and exploratory work for the department, the next few years will be used to support the development of our school: geographically speaking, in Nantes through the new Gaia building, in Paris with the new campus and abroad (in China and Brazil); at project level with multi-capital analysis, implementation of the Token 4 Good project and many more actions.”

What is your assessment of 2021?
2021 was again a year disrupted by the pandemic. However, thanks to the strong mobilisation and unfailing commitment of the teams, we have continued to provide a quality service throughout the department.
The summer of 2021 also marked the beginning of our exploratory work for a new Audencia learning experience in Paris. In addition, at financial level and within the framework of the strategic plan, we initiated new performance analysis thanks to a multi-capital vision. This project has led us to launch a carbon audit throughout the institution, which will serve as a basis for cross-departmental work. Finally, 2021 was also the year that witnessed the launch of the Token 4 Good project, with the first joint creation and testing workshops concerning this new device based on the blockchain.

What different approaches have you set up for maintaining Audencia excellence, despite the pandemic?
We took advantage of this unique context to work on improving immersive learning spheres by analysing needs and new innovative practices.
These new teaching spheres will allow for workshops to be held with students, teachers and staff in order to inject a new dynamic into all the projects.

What is your vision for 2022?
2022 will mark the start of work on the future Gaia School building, on our emblematic Atlantic Campus site. This construction site will naturally respect the most stringent environmental standards and aims to be a forerunner in terms of design.
This new year will also see the unveiling of the location of our future Paris campus, long awaited by our students. In tandem, Audencia will modernise and refurbish several parts of its campuses. The renovated sports centre and a redesigned reception area, among others, are planned and designed to meet the needs and expectations of our stakeholders, both internally and externally. Finally, as proof that CSR is a constant concern, a new purchasing manager will be joining us, with the aim of infusing even more responsibility into our purchases and the way we use our resources.

What are your objectives between now and 2025, within the framework of the ECOS 2025 plan?
In line with our commitments over the last few months, we are going to support the development of the future Paris campus to meet the objectives set by the ECOS plan, in particular the figure of 10,000 students by 2025.
By 2025, we will have set up a genuinely immersive course for Gaia, to live up to what has been imagined and proposed for Audencia. Finally, more globally, we will implement the multi-capital performance measurement and management system, thanks to new resources that will complete our team and inspire practices that revolutionise our operational model.

What are your CSR commitments?
Transversally, for several years we have been conducting effective thinking into CSR in connection with environmental awareness of our actions. Yet, because we want to go even further, we are going to carry out several major actions concerning central services, including an energy consumption audit in conjunction with ADEME, the French environment agency.
We will also determine and specify new criteria in our specifications for selecting our suppliers. In the choice and construction of our buildings, we will also work to obtain a number of certifications, linked to responsible approaches (such as the reuse of materials, low energy consumption, etc.).
